Scholarship Program - Knights of Talent 2027
The Magdalena Kožená Foundation, in cooperation with the Association of Basic Art Schools of the Czech Republic, is opening applications for the "Knights of Talent 2027" - scholarship program. The program will culminate in the gala opening concert of the 11th annual ZUŠ Open festival, taking place on May 18, 2027, at the Industrial Palace in Prague and broadcast live on ČT art. The stage will feature 60 orchestral musicians, 200 choir members, dance ensembles, and soloists. The program design will combine musical, dance, visual art, and dramatic elements, offering opportunities for students from basic art schools to collaborate with professional artists. Preparation Schedule Four two-day weekend orchestra workshops will be held at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava (hereinafter referred to as JKO):
- 13–14 Feb 2027, orchestra only / JKO
- 20–21 Mar 2027, orchestra only / JKO
- 17–18 Apr 2027, orchestra only / JKO
- 15–16 May 2027, orchestra + choir on Sunday / JKO
- Concert 18 May 2027, 8:15 PM – Industrial Palace, Prague — live broadcast on ČT art.
Concert Program The evening will feature works by B. Britten, P. I. Tchaikovsky, J. Brahms, A. Dvořák, G. F. Handel, W. A. Mozart, and E. Morricone, as well as world premieres by Clarinet Factory and Antonín Konečný.
